Spectrum

Colour Lapse by Lucinda Cobley courtesy of Wade Wilson Gallery

Color is the subject of this exhibit. A spectrum of color. A spectrum of artists. A spectrum of artworks.
Some saturated and vibrant, some subtle and lyrical others creamy, sensual, lush, lickable, playful and dramatic.
Color is not only one of the most powerful means of expression available to the artist but is often the viewer’s most direct connection to an artwork. Color has the power to connect both artist and viewer to memories, smells, tastes and sensations in an immediate visceral manner.
This collection of artists use color in a wide spectrum of ways. The materials, style, surfaces and gestures enhance and compliment each artist’s use of color.
